Charlie Smith, P.E.
Mechanical Engineer
Charlie earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Physics from the University of Kentucky. He began his career at CMTA, Inc., where he designed HVAC systems for hospitals, airports, and educational facilities, with a focus on sustainable design.
Charlie’s background also includes experience in both defense and automotive industries. He’s worked in product engineering for the Department of Defense, designing naval electrical connectors and cable assemblies, and later in automotive product development, supporting new Toyota vehicle models.
He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with experience in Revit based projects and a strong background in product design. His diverse experience has shaped a detail-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments. Outside of work, Charlie enjoys traveling, exercising, hiking, and playing tennis.
